JSC CMP at key industry events in December 2025


Moscow, Russia — In December 2025 Nikolay Vorogushin, Chief Geologist of JSC Chemical and Metallurgical Plant (CMP), took part in the Mining Industry 2025 forum and the IV Scientific and Practical Conference "Mineral Resource Base of High-tech Metals".

These events brought together leading experts from the exploration industry, scientists, engineers and young researchers. Over the course of two days, 76 presentations were displayed, covering the problems of lithium mine development, market trends, innovative exploration technologies and challenges with laboratory and analytical service for exploration of strategic raw materials in Russia.

JSC CMP participated in the session "Promising exploration, production and advanced processing projects. Lithium and more. Answers to Challenges". During the session Russian projects for the development and extraction of lithium oil and gas fields from associated waters were discussed. One of the main topics of the session was technologies, in particular the direct extraction of lithium (DLE), which is actively used in South America.

"Effective legislative regulation is required for the development of promising lithium extraction projects from associated waters of gas and oil fields in Russia today" said Nikolay Vorogushin.
